Mike,

Its a negative spin so either sticks out or sticks in depending on direction you want it to go.
Aileron determines direction.

If I'm reading the aresti correctly....

You could go either way
one way will put you out box at the exit, the other way would bring you in...
depends on where you are and where you want to go

correct me if I'm wrong

Mike,

That inverted line after the spin can either come in or go out so... a Left negative spin or a right negative spin will depend on if you want to fly in or out.

Use the wind to determine which way to go.
If the wind is blowing out, bring that line in.
If the wind is blowing in take that line out.

Mike,

Sticks out I am assuming you mean a right negative spin.

If your entering the spin from the left flying to right. (Aresti form B) you'd want to do a right 1-3/4 neg spin if you want to end up going out. Left if you want to bring it in.

What do the symbols on this page correlate to what you have in the written description?

The triangles black/white dotted line/broken line for a newbie to the imac stuff is a foreign language, any sites out there that explain what it means?
