Default NE Region Contests Thread 07'

Great news fellas. I have gotten approval from my primary club in Salem, CT, to hold a contest there during the 07' season. I was thinking of doing an early season (May) contest and take a chance with the weather. I am also in the process of getting approval for another contest in Woodstock, CT. I think these have the possibility of being great contests this year as they are about halfway between the PA contests and the Maine contests. I know the Upper northeast guys expressed alot of interest in coming down, and I am sure the PA/NJ/MD/NY crew could make the trip. Definelty excited about 07. I will keep updating the progress in this thread.

Tank, I bet you could get CCRCC in Farmington to host one. I know that Don up there has been looking to do one for years with some help. Let me know if you want to contact him. Also, i would love to try it at Salem if you decide to allow "noisy" airplanes. Craig

Thats one of the ones we are looking at Craig. Bryan gave me a heads up that they might be interested. The one at Salem is going to have sound restrictions, 98db, which pretty much equates to anything 100cc+ must have cans. You got all sorts of birds, put cans in one, you wont be disapointed! Youll be wondering why you have been running "mufflers" all this time.

I have to see when our other contests are....then I can fit this one into the mix somewhere. Thats where the problem was last year...they didnt want one weekend after another tied up, but some of our other events are pretty lame......
I am sure we will talk.....

Hey guys, with the approval for the contest in Salem, CT, I need to come up with dates for the event by next Tuesday (next club meeting). I want to shoot for a contest earlier in the season. Right now, my club has all of June available as well as all of May. What do you NE Region guys think? I looked at the contest schedule from last year, and there was only one in June, the LVRCS event in PA. I know you are on here Blair, were you planning for the same date? Anyone else that reads this, when would you prefer to see the contest happen?
