Steve,
Gets rids of a lof of weight by doing that to the firewall. The stuff added back is very thin ply (almost no weight) to seal it back up.

Not much to report over the last couple days..
We had a slight Monkey Wrench thrown at us today but thats ok, we are going to throw it right back. Details later. Latest pics. The table is as flat and straight as you can get. All foam will be sheeted off of it.

why the extra weight of the sporty motor mount? Why not the regular SWB stand offs. It all adds up in the end.

I dont know..
We just like how easy it is to mount the motor with one. No measuring. Mount it and drill. It cant be more than an oz heavier than standoff's if at all.
