Wayne has some good building skills. Heck you almost had that 35% Carden Extra almost framed when you sold it and bought that radiocraft.

Walt, I am hoping you can share some kind of good, fast method for beveling the wing trailing edge/aileron leading edge.

I have had numerous Cardens and love them all, I have been following this build thread since the beginning. All I can say is awesome job. I wish I could build like that. The plane looks better and better as each step progresses. I can't wait to see the finished product and see what the final weight is and hear how it flies. Great job.

Pops made them up. a little rubber washer on the back side should provide enough tension to keep them fraom backing out. I have been using them on my Aerotech Yak and have not had any issues

Wayne,

How much did you guys save by taking out the wing tube phenolic? In my opinion I think it makes it look much better with it out as well.

Andrew,

Dan is right. Its 1oz. Nothing for weight savings. Big on the cool factor though.

I'm sure Wayne cuts the phenolic out, just in case SnapASaurus gets to fly the plane. This way, it will be easier to slide out the bent wing tube.

We after a lot of maneuvering we got two sets of lightened, T4 , Curved,
Aluminum gear.

Huge thanks to Bill Rider (517-627-2654) for milling them and an even bigger thanks to Clay Ness at Abell RC for cutting us blanks, sending them to Bill for us and then bending and rolling after Bill sent them back to him.

VERY COOL!
