Haven't seen a whole about this bird, at $384 it seems like a hell of a deal. Anyone out there have one?

I had the purple/white one when it was a one piece wing and still think it was one of the best flying 50cc planes I've had. I'm gonna order one today, so far the best I've found is chief, which is $384 but includes free shipping.

Nope, the 80" purple cap. Actually though, I owned 3 of the 73" Caps and believe it or not they actually taught me alot about 3d flying. I did my first harriers, elevators and Hovers with them. Of course, that's why I ended up owning 3 of them,LOL.

There is a build thread on RCU and I slammed this plane, origionally, because it was advertised as weighing up to 17.5 pounds! Well, after further research, it turns out that there are 3 different advertised weight ranges from Horizon and, fortunately, it is in the lower range, as there are a couple reports of it being built with little effort to keep things light that came in at 14.5 pounds. At that weight it should be a real nice flyer!

I want one, but waiting on the BME 58 to come out, if ever to put on it. I like CAPs, I think they went out of style because people dont like to or dont know how to mix out an airplane with some coupling.

I agree. I still think that Cap are one of the best planes out there for 3D also.

For the guys that are seeing the H9 for $319, do you have any links to your hobbyshops?

Ive got one and havent had much time to do much work on it. works been really crazy (alot of inspections and all) bodywerks knows what thats like. hehe. I have bought the carbon wing tube from TBM as well as a carbon spinner and went with the lipos for the radio. all servos are 8611A's and power is a Da-50 with a supersonic pitts style muffler on a MX 23x8 prop. Estimated weight right now should be around 14-14.5 Lbs but really havent weighed it on a scale becasue its not done. I aslo will be adding a pilot and insturment panel. I know its not required for IMAC but it doesnt look right without it.

I would higly recomend the plane in its build quality and finish its definatly one of the best H9 airplanes i have put together.

14-14.5 lbs is an excellent weight. Is there any way of getting a cannister in there? How about some pics if you can. Thanks.
