Bad-Ass Super Contortionist!
![]() |
Hey guys,
Just came back from putting the first three flights on my 41% Wild Hare Extra 300. It flew pretty nice, but like any plane has a long way to go until it's trimmed. I have to say it's closer to trimmed than most planes I maiden. Very promising. Cool snaps. Tons of vertical. Here's what I have in it. SMART-FLY items Power Expander Turbo Regulator Equalizers (one in each wing) Fiber Optic kill switch ZDZ 160 Super with RCS in-fuse silencers (canisters) MSC 31X10 prop 3 JR 8611 servos on each wing 1 JR 8611a on each elevator 2 JR 8611a's on rudder (in tail) Hitec 5945MG on throttle i4C C-volt voltmeters Slimline smoke system, yet untested. Pulled it nicely! Tons of guts. Started nice and easy. I can't beleive I can rip an MSC 31X10. That's a lot of wood! Never ripped an MSC before at this altitude. Canisters sounded great. Thanks for parting with it. She has a happy owner.

I told you its a beast! Give it another 10 gallons or so and let us know. PS, did you baffle the engine? Hard to tell from the pics.

Did you want to put the rudder servos in the tail or did it just come out that way?
Looks like they have a way to adjust the CG by moving the wing forward or backward. |

I noticed two wingtube locations. Nice option.

Hi Dave, now that you have your Dalton done, do you still like to fly this plane? And how does this plane compare to your Dalton?

lazyboy......I've been flying Warren Cross's 41% plane......it flies really nice and light. Spins and snaps stop on command. A very nice ARF for the price

How has the servos in the tail been working for you? Plenty of authority, major blowback? I've got one coming and just wanted to get your opinions.
If not, then I'll probably use a Seiko servo on the rudder just like I have on my two 37.5% Yaks. Just exploring options. Thanks, Gerry |

This is what mine looks like after forty flights, The cause was a power failure and it wasn't the two batteries or regulators, maybe the single power box or single receiver? The plane flew so great that I have new one on the way.
