Default indoor Imac

I know there is a specific IMAC section but I want to know why there is indoor pattern and not indoor IMAC?
Some of us can't or won't fly our IMAC planes in the snow and cold so I think it would be cool to have some indoor IMAC action. Any of you uber awesome IMAC guys ever try it? Any interest? Any routines?

Fly Indoor Pattern with a scale outline airplane and you are essentially doing Indoor IMAC. I've been working on several indoor pattern specific designs lately, and frankly one of them is an EA260. I think its a great idea HillmanR2.

I hate to suggest things without be able to do it but, It would be cool to have everyone film a routine (the same one ) and then judge them over the internet, kinda like a sim comp.

They used to have that same kind of idea in Freeflight. Called 'em proxy contests.

Filming angles and other such might get in the way, but it sure could be done....

Here is a vid from my own first indoor pattern comp (my first pattern comp too). I've come a long way since then, and I have a long way to go! (yes, I know the HumptyBump is wrong)

This is something that we're going to test at E-FEST this Feb.

www.gpe-fest.com

It'll be basically the same style of flying as IMAC, but with foamies. This will happen on Friday, during the day while set-up is going on. There will be a limited amount of competitors due to the time restraints.
There will only be 1 sequence, which will be an "unknown" and not given out until the day of the contest. The reason behind this is that the E-FEST facility is rather large and the sequence will be designed with that in mind. Not everybody will have this type of room to practice in, so there won't be an unfair advantage to anyone. We're going to test a new judging process in conjunction with it, that may be an avenue to remove some of the bias from the judging panel.

More should be posted soon!

Frank

We can do that!!! I'm working on a few of the little details now. The beauty of it is that nobody has to spend a lot of time practicing!!!

I'll put you on the list!
