Build Log
Howard 500 Charles Loud Design
I started this build on RCScalebuilder.com on Nov of last year. Decided to move it over here since Charlie has a B-25 build here also. I can't move the whole thread here so if you want to see the begining go to RCSCALEBUILDER.com-community-forumns-designers-other designers and the last time I looked it was half way down the first page. When I post this I'll follow with a couple pictures .

Here's my first attempt at pictures. Have got the fuselage plans under glass with the jigs laying on top of the plans. Fuselage is approx 12 feet long so i managed to get it in 3 frames.

That worked out ok-- here are a couple of shots of the landing gear. Main gear measures 12" high. Right now I'm working with fixed gear until I finish the build. Then convert them to retracts.

If you go to tpaero.com there are a couple of good videos of the last two flying. I flew one from 1965 until 1975. The same guy owns the one I flew but it had too much corrosin in it to be restored. He's using it for parts. I started this thread on rcscalebuilders.com. If you look there you will find some good pictures of my old airplane!

Made a rookie mistake when gluing the fuselage jigs together. Had two different sets with the same designation that I had marked "new" and "old" and I must have marked them backwards!! Jigs underwent surgery this morning and I think will recover. Also here's a picture on the inner wings that are jigged but not glued. Decided to do the fuselage first so I can fit the wing sections while I can get to everything.

Capt, note that there are no fuel tanks in the area provided, what do you plan to do with them?

Nothing is glued yet in the inner wing. Tanks will go in before I do.
