Default H9 33% CAP 232: I got one!

Friends, I am pleased to announce that my Hangar 9 33% CAP 232 is in the mail and on its way to me. I am hoping the UPS (united plane smashers) delivers it in 1 piece so I can start getting parts for it.

I am planning on the following:

ZDZ Super 80
Hitec 5955's all around
Fromeco for juice
Smart-Fly equipment for power disttribution

I will be going 1 servo per aileron to save some weight so we will see how that goes, my inquiry is where to get carbon fiber wing and stab tubes for it? Id like to replace those if possible and any info leading to where to find these items is appreciated!

Once the plane arrives ill take some pics, this will be my winter project so I will take my time getting the stuff for it together. I have loved this CAP when I first saw one years ago and since I cant build I wont be able to get a Carden CAP anytime soon so this will do me just fine

You can get the carbon stuff from Troybuilt Models, and also rc supergear makes a better carbon gear for it than graphtech, but not sure about availability.

By only going with one aileron servo, you're only going to be saving maybe 5 oz. I go for two. You can get more out of that ZDZ using a tuned pipe. Power will be in line of a DA 100 without the weight.

My friends yak is ballistic with the super 80 and Vess 26" prop, and it weighs about 24lbs and is kind of heavy, if you can get the cap to 22-22.5lbs with the super 80 and stock muffler, it will be a monster

Had one of those and loved it. I wound up with a ZDZ 80 on mine. A tuned pipe will not fit because of the wing tube location. It is the best harrier airplane ever!! just lay back on the elevator and drive it around with the rudder.

You’re going to love it! They absolutely rock for 3D and precision. Stock as a rock (no carbon, etc..) mine is 23lb’s with a BME 110. I’m running 5945’s all the way around and a 5955 on the rudder. Unless you stiffen up the ailerons, you’re probably better off using 2 servos per side. The 33% Cap is in my opinion, the best flying 33% H9 produced (I own the Edge and have flown the Extra). Troy Built has carbon wing and stab tubes. The stock stab tubes weight nothing at all and probably aren’t worth replacing, though.

No this is not a new plane. It is actually a couple years old and has since been discontinued.
However I do know where there is a new in the box one for around 650.00 or less.Plus if you are out of state no tax.But shipping would probably kill you.
Any way good plane I had one and she flew great.

H9 do not recommend 1 servo per aileron unless you modify (stiffen up) the ailerons.
