dont know about the small ones but the big one flies perfect. The smaller ones are probably not good for 3D.

The performance series Great Planes Cap 232 flies very well and is very light. The quality of the airframe is very high. I have never flown any of the Chapman series.....except on G3

The small Chapman is a heavy plane. It flies well, and tracks very well through maneuvers, but you will feel the weight. If you are looking for a good flying Cap in that size that builds light, the World Models is excellent. I've had a few of them, also not a 3d plane, but flies better than the Chapman, is lighter, and doesn't have any bad tendencies.

That there is a cap 580.
Larger (27%-42%)cap 232 and 580's are awsome 3d planes. Smaller ones will be heavy and with high wing loading making a faster flying bird. Those are the older arfs as well. If any of the leading manufacturers would get on board with a newly designed cap 232 you would be sure to have a great 3d ship! Caps are coming back |

I have the Midwest Cap ,that you had to actually build, the 80" one. It's not a 3D ship. snaps and tumbles and it does some of the best upright Harriers. Not bad for an older design! With the Moki 1.8 it's a blast to fly..
I'm still not used to the Matt Chapman splatters(Sorry Matt!!). If it was in something with JR logos,I'd think more about getting one... To bad the new one from Horizon is little bit on the heavy side... Later Frank
