Default New to small foamies-----need help.

I was at a swap meet yesterday and picked up an electric package.
Motor, 15amp esc, 3 servos for $60.
Motor is identical to a hacker called Hextronik. Suppose to come from the same factory.
Specs on the motor;
Brushless outrunner 22d-28
Rating: 1125kv
batt.: 2-3 lipo
std current 2-6A max 8

Now for the questions.
Thinking of using 2 cell around 800-1000 mah. sound about right?
What apc prop to use so I dont burn it up?

A buddy has a nib tensor he will sell me for $10. Will this motor 3d it.

How do I hook up a DMM to check the amp draw?

Thanks all

I think maybe a 3 cell 730ma pack might do the trick.

Yeah, one of those little hacker generic motors? I have seen them around and wanted to buy the parts package as spare but the guy wouldn't sell an extra accessory kit without the whole motor. Let us know how it performs. They told me the "made by the same factory" stiff but I wasn't 100% sure. I asked a "team hacker" member a few days later and he assured me that there is no such thing. So is it the same motor by another manufacturer, sold off stock that didn't meet spec, or something else? Perhaps it is an Asian copy. Anyone know? I bet it will work fine for you, just curious as to the source. Please understand that I am not trying to product bash at all, I just would like to know more about them.

My hacker motor is a slightly smaller so I'll let someone else answer your questions about setup. I'd look at what everyone else uses on the hacker equivalent. Have fun! Foamies are addictive!
