Alot of guys here in Australia are using DA50 for power with great results. From the ones I've seen the fly very well and are a great way to get into Gas powered models.

I have had both a DA100 and a 3W 75. The 3W has ended up being a not too bad motor after a very frustrating running in period. It required a lot of fine tuning to get iot to run right and to be quite honest it really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I believe I'm not the only one who has had this problem.

I recently got the DA 100 and boy what a difference, I just bolted it on and away she went. I have had about 50 litres of fuel through it now and it still runs like a dream and I haven't had to fiddle with it at all. I've spoke to quite a few blokes down at the local clubs who have told me the same story with the DA 50.

If you want a reliable motor that requires very little fiddling with, you can't go past the DA motor. It will more than likely outlast your airframe and prove to be a great power plant for any future models in it's class.

When you make the step up into the bigger end of this hobby, reliability is what you want. Bigger models are much more expensive to replace if your motor cuts out without warning. The 3W has never cut out on me either but there's nothing worse that feeling on edge when your motor sounds like it's not running right.

I also have a H9 Extra 260.

I am going to be putting a DA50 in it. RH1N0, a member here flies at the same club as me and his has plenty of power. Alot of poeple say it is too much weight. While it might not the lightest setup out there it is a decent start IMO.
