Default QQ 73" w/ys140 cg issue

maybe one of you expert flyers will have an answer for this one. i have the new 73 in w/ ys 140 sport, on 30% swinging a 18x6 prop, but i seem to be havin a CG issue. i put the batt. up front like the plans say to, and it comes out way nose heavy, i have even flown it like this and have to trim alot of up elev. for it to fly straight and level, does anyone have any ideas as to where i can relocate the batt. to gain the proper CG?

thanks phil

I don't personally own one, but setting the cg is just a matter of moving stuff around. Just keep moving the battery to different areas of the plane till it balances, then mount it there.

I have one and you can put the batt next to the rx in the front of the rudder servo. I also had CG issues but i had a super light saito 120 and i have to add nose weight. be patient and get it right you will be rewarded with a great pattern and imac plane.
I should be getting another one pretty soon and its going electric

I have an OS 1.60FX in my 73" and have had to fit the battery behind the rudder servo... This worried me a little at first because it was so different to how the instructions had the battery mounted. Then again the instructions are written around the YS 1.4 donk.

Cheers
Quik.

Yup, I run my qq 73' with YS 140 DZ, and was forced to put in aluminium mounts cause vibration killed the supplied mounts after extensive flying (100 flights) . I then had to put the batteries (5 cells/6volts) way behind the rudder servo, and add a small tad of lead at the tail to get cg at QQ recommended spot. I have been flying my qq73' a bit nose heavy a long time before this (gear installed as per manual, but Im a chicken and never sought out the right spot) , but now when cg is on spot its a kind of new experience. My advice to all of u is to make sure the cg is on spot!. The plane is now a blast with YS 140dz. This is my top plane and I love to fly it!

i run my 73" with an older 140 fz but i use 2 cell lithium ion 2600 with a 6 volt regulator............i had the battery mounted on the rx tray but have since remove the tray and mounted the bat under the hatch where you hook the hoses for the fuel tank.........
