You going to be at E-Fest.
Craig, I wanted to be there badly, but it does not look like I'll make it. Maybe next year!

You missed a good time. Maybe I will meet up with you at a Pro Bro event this year. I plan to attend a few. Only had one midair. Got about 10 flights in on Staurday. I'm glad I picked up a DX-7 the day before.

I had a few people come up to me that knew me through this thread that I never met before. Nice meeting everyone.

Sounds like it was a good time Craig!

You need to come to the Memphis event. You'll have a good time!

You're planes are pretty recognizable. I saw pictures of them in the coverage of the event itself.

Here is my latest 'experiment'. Both the plane and a couple of the paint effects are 'experimental'. Bipe is my new Endeavor F3P biplane. I got the pattern effect on the airplane by spraying the base color first, then I laid 'expanded metal' over the top and shot a mixture of silver and white through it in a mist. Just enough to get the pattern to show through.

The name Endeavor on top was done with a manilla template drawn in cad and then cut out in relief. I shot the paint through the template with the whole thing on my easel.....

Match, let me know if that biplane flies any good. I have yet to fly one that was great. I just ordered the vrolet to give it a try, but monoplanes still rule in my book.

Your opinion of Bipes is about to change Jeff.
Did you get a F3P or a Freestyle?
Painted or Unpainted?

Looks good Match.
I made a version of my Sniper into a bipe. Haven't tried it yet. I lengthened it by 2" and took some wing area away. Here is the cad drawing. The wing is different then what is pictured. They all look the same, but fly different.

Looks Gooooooood Craig!

I got my Endeavor completed except motor installation. It has 350 squares of wing area and weighs 5.18ozs RTF. Wingloading will be 2.11 ozs/sqin.

That's pretty light. I predict mine to come out about 6.5.I've had it cut out for a couple weeks, but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm still trying to get my monoplane down to that. My last Sniper was 5.2oz with battery. Don't know where to take the weight off except changing the linkages to pull-pull.

From my personal experience, I'd stay away from pull pull.... Just a never ending headache. I use .040 or .030 carbon tube pushrods for mine and have near slop free linkages....

How much carbon are you using in your Sniper Mono and where?

The carbon is on the leading and trailing edge of the wing(carbon that comes with a shockflyer), wing struts(.060), three pieces(.040) in an X pattern down each side from the back of the wing to the rear, and the landing gear. I am using the same landing gear that comes with the shock flyers. I just got done painting one and weighed all the foam. 1.8oz. I am going to weigh everything this time. I have a feeling the weight might be the landing gear. It flies great the way it is, but would be nice to get some more weight off.

Wayne, I got the freestyle printed. Should I have gotten something else? I plan to run the 6gram MPI MX35 servos and the Torque 34T-1520 and Flightpower 3S 300. If the Vrolet flies different I am sold. But all the ones I have flown get quirky on their backs or in KE they want to roll out real bad.

Here is my K Factor I just flew it this weekend. It has wicked roll rate but unfortunately it turned out too heavy and flies that way. If I could have gotten the weight lower I think it would be good too. Mine weighed 6.5ounces RTF, it should have been 5 or under. I airbrushed it with Createx and a Paasche millenium airbrush and used posterboard templates.
