I think I saw that Sobre at the Memphis Indoor in 2005 or so. Right?

Neat technique Craig.

Yea Wayne flew the Sobre @ Memphis in '05 and designer John Leyland flew it at the '05 ETOC. This airplane flys great 3d and precision. It was probably one of the first foamies that would actually draw lines and not just hover.

How do you make these templates? Do you print off a logo, tape it to the spare foam, and then just cut along the border of the logo? I would like to make my foamies have logos using paint only . . . .

I usually print them out on the printer. Cut the paper out and trace it onto the depron. I am done for the night. All I have left to do is finish up the wing. I have tons of pictures to post. That's going to take some time. In the mean time here is a teaser pick.

I set the air regulator for the airbrush at 40psi. Here I did the canopy. First put the template down and weight the edges. Next spray the black. Hit it with the heat gun so it will dry a little quicker. Remove the template.

The last steps of the rudder. Just keep using a piece of straight depron for the mask.

Craig,

Looks awesome, Do you have to do any thinning of the paint?
