I think it came out .25oz heavier then his all white one. I weighed it before and after I painted it. It showed the paint added about 3grams to the airframe. Which is about .1oz.

Thanks! I still have to get a copy of Quiet Flyer so I can read your article. I might learn something from that as well.

Done painting. This plane I took a Merlin and made a depron fuse instead of the EPP one that comes with it.

Thanks guys. Now I'm trying to figure out what motor to put on it. If I go with the 2204/54 a 2cell 730 or 3 cell 480 , I figure the plane will come out between 7-7.5oz. If I go with the 2208 will be around 8 or so. That's just a guess.

Something cool to add to this thread!

I've been using a great 3M product for cutting out foamys and attaching masks to my painting projects for some time. The 3M product is # 6307. Its basically strong Post It Note glue in stick form. You can use it in the house because it does not smell too bad, it has no dangerous fumes, and the stick form allows it to be used carefully and sparingly.......

I mention this now because I was down to my last stick and was not able to find the stuff for about a year and a half. Recently, I found several online vendors that sell it and ordered a dozen sticks from one......

Here are a few picts of the finished plane. Came out a litle heavier then I liked, but flew pretty good. Nice and slow. Again this is the Merlin with a depron fuse instead of the EPP one. The EPP one is actually lighter.
