Paint Job:
First - the granit look for the whole engine box. I covered the plane with protective cover and painted the box with dope before the paint. Used grey primer, light coat to cover all the surface. Then - I found this Granit-Look spray paint used for painting outdoor home stuff, I tried it first on a piece of wood to learn how to work with it - and the result is great! From now on - its gonna come on all my planes.. Pics now. Ziv |

One thing about the granit color though, you need to spray a clear coat all over it otherwise in time it gets damaged by oil and motor-vibrations.
1 coat of clear coat color in enough. Did that. |

Engine Instalation began.
Standoffs made by my good friend Yohai - Thanks bro! This dude has his own power-mill at home and can do just about any part carved from aluminium . After that - canopy in place, trimmed and screws drilled and in place with 3 cm between each screw. Pilot in place and will be glued tonight. Ziv |

The best part has began - electronics instalation.
I do this while the paint layers are drying now... First - elevators servos. Used 8611A all around. Servo is installed inside, MLP 1.5" servo arm (awsome), Dubro heavy duty ball links, metal rod to-bo-covered in carbon tube, swivel horn screwd into hard point on the elevator. Good preparation makes it very easy to install after covering. So far so good. Here it is. 50deg. + throw to each side... Cheers, Ziv |
