Heh, Heh. Lines, bro. Learn to fly straight lines. Get your buds to help. 2-way radios. One out in the field to tell you how much your lines suck. Swap places and blast his ass with the bad lines ****. Truly, you gotta know how to fly a straight line. Exercise: Fly a rectangle loop. Keep it straight, with straight verticals and equal radius on the turns. When you can finish exactly where you started each time, do it again with a 1/2 rolls on top. This gets you to fly straight lines while inverted. No kiddin' here, my friend. Good luck.

Yes believe it or not, flying a straight line is difficult to alot of flyers.
One thing a begginer should do is also try to fly in wind from all directions.
Because as soon as you go in a comp and fly that schedule that wind will change to a direction that you are not familiar with it will feel like you never practised

Yeah I agree with you there. I tried flying in a 25 knot cross winds a while ago and man that is hard to do. I almost had 3/4 rudder throw to keep it straight, but as soon as I with inverted I was all over the place. Gotta work on the inverted stuff.

one thing to remember

Practice makes perfect is not really true

should read perfect practice makes perfect

reasoning: after you fly a comp or two and have found your weaknesses get help improving. You are probably doing something wrong in your practice sessions that is causing the downgrade and another member may be able to pick up on what it is you are doing wrong, therefore allowing you to correct the manouver.

hope that makes as much sence to you guys as it does to me.

Makes all the sense in the world, practicing maneuvers the wrong way, happens all of the time.

Practice never makes you perfect, practice just makes you better.

I was just reading through the aresti made easy article and I'm a little confuse on a couple of things. Crossbox figures are drawn so they end with a diagonal line. Now does this mean you must fly that line?? or does the figure end before that line?? Also what is the difference between linked and un-linked rolls and snaps.?? Is there a pause between unlinked or something?? It doesn't really explian the difference.
