Default New Aerobatic Plane MX2???

Been out of the Flying scene for a while and just noticed that Composite ARF has a new plane that looks like a Giles G-202.

http://www.composite-arf.com/ar/Product?651000

Since I have come back to RC Aerobatics, the rage plane is the Yak while when I left the RC world it seemed the G-202 was catching on everywhere. Why did the G-202 fall out of popularity? Is it not a good 3-D platform? Thanks.

It has been a hard secret to keep, but the cat is out of the bag!!! The MX2 is my new plane for the coming year. I'm very excited about it.The control surfaces are huge, it should be a 3D monster. I'm hoping for a flying weight of around 35lbs with stock mufflers. My DA 150 is on it's way back from Desert Aircraft with a clean bill of health. The servos are waiting and my video camera is itching to go. I also have a brand new set of the Fromeco Peerless batteries, regulators, and switches on their way. I should have the plane in my posession by March 1st. I love the colors and think it will compliment my Yak nicely. Bryan Zang and I will be producing a build video as well as an instructional video for installing graphix on the MX2.

Biff,
That thing will already be a rocket at 35# on stock mufflers, do you want him to turn that thingy into a Super Sonic Rocket or what?

Once you get the cans in it repaint the thing also. Your not going to put Kermit up against Brians new Bad ASS Yak. Biff Mark doesn't need cans in there. There is no need to be able to hear his freestyle music at the XFC. Nothing like a little peer pressure to help out making equipment choices.

Yep, that MX2 just looks hotter and hotter. It almost outshines the 260, better get one of each.

I,m so pumped!!!!! I've watched the video twenty times. I heard from DA the other day that my 150 is on the way back. Gilmore told me it was exceptionally strong. This thing will be a rocket I'm wrestling with the servo's to use. I'm thinking 8611's on the rudder and ailerons and 9152's on the elevators. I updated the www.composite-arf-world.com website. I'm having problems switching the video from an AVI file to a WMV file. Any help?

My wife has nice "cans" also, but they are over 2 pounds a piece...to much weight for my plane! I think I will keep them where they are...more fun there, anyway!
