Default Gent's Question

I'm new to electric flight and it seems to me that all indoor fomies are nose heavy as well as park flyers meanning 3d type and IMAC planes is this true about electric planes.

Just keep moving your battery back until you get the CG where you like it...

There's not really such a thing as correct CG, it can never be correct. As you said it comes down to many adjustments of the battery pack to get the performance that you like.

As to your original question, generally the average park flyer will have a pretty neutral CG, maybe sligthly aft. You'll normally have a rearward CG for 3D flying, and a slightly forward CG for IMAC/Pattern etc... This helps make the model less sensitive to control inputs and enables the model to
"track" better and ply more precisely.

Adding to what Alex is saying, It really IS pilot preference. For 3D foamies I like to set up a neutral CG, Neutral to me means I can go inverted and hold ZERO down elevator to stay level, or at least very very little. With indoor aero's you tend to spend as much time inverted as upright, so you don't want to be leaning on the elevator too much.
