Just thought some of you CAP lovers would want to see the finished product for the FMG 42%. It has taken even longer than I had hoped for. After it's remaiden flight in December I was at a field that really wasn't big enough for big gassers and I had a deadstick that resulted in tearing out the landing gear and all the interior structural supports from the wing tube forward. Well after a month of rpairs and paint I flew her yesterday with great success.
I will load some pictures soon. |

I did not baffle the 200. After each flight yesterday as soon as I cut off the engine I grabbed the cylinders and was surprised how cool they were.

Thanks Gene and Mavac...,
Most of all I need to thank Ron Storer for giving me the airframe and a lot of help towards getting it back in the air. One of the greatest guys in the hobby and I wouldn't be flying today without him. Went to the field today and beat the box up and tried to get some practice in before the Jacksonville IMAC contest. The Cap is surprising me everytime I fly it, it was really windy today and it actually was going backwards during some harriers but it is so stable when you get it slow. Steve |
