good deal Wango are you still running that zinger prop? I never had any great feel for those flat tip ones; however, the pro line up has been pretty good on some glow stuff.

Joe looks like he is wearing carbon fiber on those pics

Kray,
I have a 26-10 Beila on it now and things have changed for the better! I talked to Gerhardt and told him I had a 26-10 W from Beila and he told me there was no such thing. I took a picture of a narrow and a wide 26-10 Beila (White with red tips) over at Randy's Hobbies in Houston. I told him I'd e-mail it. Beilas are supposed to be a balanced prop when you buy it. (I've been told that) This one was off a tad tip to tip. The hub balance was right on. Instead of dulling up that pretty finish on the back I took a foam abrasive block and gently rubbed both the leading and trailing edges a few strokes and the prop came out perfect on the balancer. At idle I was getting a lot of tail shake even with the super balanced prop. Gerhardt told me to make sure the ignition battery was fully charged and to make sure the needles weren't too rich. Turns out the needles are a tad rich but topping off the battery smoothed it out really well. (1500 NiMh four cell) It seems that if the voltage is a little low the sensor only picks up one magnet pulse and the motor starts firing on one cylinder only. The thing still needs leaning but I'm only at three gallons and my instructions say wait for the five gallon mark. I'm only doing 6000 as is and I know there is more in the tank when it comes to rpms. I'm just enjoying the hell out of all the power and the ripping tip noise I had with the Zinger is a thing of the past! I have a 26-10 Mezlic coming anytime now and I'm sure the CAP is going to like it too.

Wango,

Those graphics really make the plane come alive. I did not think I needed anything else but now looking at yours I think otherwise. Yeah I beat that Mejzlik will swing big time if you have a Wide blade prop on there now. I use to get 6300RPM on a BME-100 on my BG Ultimate. I sent that motor to Keith at BME in April and had him convert it to a 111 using the bottom end of the 115. I am on gallon 3 and getting 6900 RPM hot on a 26 x 10 Mejzlik. I still have some tweaking on the needles in a couple more gallons. I am still in limbo on the exhaust system that I will be running on the Cap with a DA-85. I need a tune pipe or can on that beast. I ran a zinger 22 x 8 one time on my AW Edge and it sounded like a weed eater lol. The plane became very slow; it did make t-rolling kind of easy since the plane did not move much with the throttle being applied. The prop was given to me thank goodness. I should have my servos and control surfaces hooked up on the cap by next week. I installed a single 5955 on the rudder last night. I ordered me a c/fiber tube from TMB that arrived yesterday. So I will have to install me a n/bolt on the wings. I have some c/fiber landing gear coming this week also from graphic. My set up will be 8411 on the elevators and ailerons. I am not sure of the fuel usage on the 85 but I have a 32 oz tank that I am looking to use.

Krazyc,
My son and I have been flying the CAP really hard for the last few weeks. The Beila 26-10 is great for cutting down the noise but I got a chance to tach the motor and 5950 ain't exactly what I'm looking for! This 3W-80 twin has 16 flights on it now and I know I'm still a tad rich on the needle. When I told Gerhardt at ACI that this prop was a Beila 26-10W he told me there was only one width of Beila prop. Not so! There is a narrow and a wide. He told me this must have been an early proto prop. I'm waiting patiently for my LHS to get in a Mezlic 26-10 but haven't seen one yet. The plane flys great and we got in some hover time for the first time last weekend. We are starting on gallon #4 and you can tell the motor is coming up a bunch stronger. Looking to get some video on here soon.

Wango,

I know you and your son were loving life just doing you all thing. Being on the G/Scale I would be very suprise to just walk into a hobby store and they have props & stuff like that you need. I am sure there are some out there but that is just a few at best lol. I hear this brand of cap is King for harrier both inverted and the other side that I do lol. I would imagine blenders are easy for it also.

Moken,

There are just to many choices of planes i want in the 33-35% range. I am going to give DA the month of July to see if they can supply me with the 85. IF not I perfer a can or tune pipe set up so I will be looking toward a bigger motor being the BME-115 or a 3W-106 and run it on cans after I move to some other airframe. I am trying to do my best to weed down on the glow stuff and just hit the gassers strong. The Cap gives me 4 gas planes once its up. I am trying to not buy anything and just learn my 4 gasser like the back of someone hand lol. I called DA today to get a 28 x 10 Mejzlik and a 23A Vess. I lost my wheel collar on landing last week on the Yak. I landed fine as the wheel was still on there, but I wanted to do about 2-5 more landings and when I got ready to take back off the wheel came off and the plane tip up just enough when the landing gear graby and stop the forward motion of the plane to break or bend the tip. I have 2-22A and a 22 x 8 Mejziik and Menz that I could run to get back in the air but I am going to wait on the 23A. Should be here early next week. When are you looking to pick up the
CA 2.6 260? What color are you going with? At least you will be someone who can give me/us the good scoop on that bird.

Going with the Yellow Kiwi 2.6, and a DA-100 either on cans or pipes, pipes require some more work and cans don't. I have the privilege of seeing all the C-arf's fly at my field, so any of them would work, but the 260 flies IMAC/3D very well with that mid wing. I have an 88" YAK and already owned a 2.6 YAK, so I don't need another one.
