I think it was a snafu. After I asked Mike about it on RCU I posted the link because he didn't know anything about it. Next day it's off the website.
Maybe it was a snafu or just someone entered it in the web early and it's going to be released later like Toledo. For about 4 years in a row H-9 released their new 33% plane I think at Toledo. |

I think it was a snaffu. Lots of old stuff showed on the website last week. I was doing some searching I found a canopy for my old old V1 Extra 330L and ordered it (plus a bunch of other parts were showing up that I know are discontinued.) 2 days later I got an email that they actually don't have them and weren't sure why it was showing on the website. Too bad cause I need the canopy as mine has a crack after 6 years and several thousand flights...

I asked a Horizon rep about the 1/3 Cap232 at the AMA Convention today and he said that it will be the same plane in the same scheme as the previous one. They are planning on bringing in only a limited run of them. Perhaps they had enough interest in the plane to justify a limited production run.

I can probably already confirm they will be re-releasing this plane around april, as the planes part # is: HAN1250, and all the parts are on the website now in same scheme, but not available yet (looks like february or april), and the parts part #'s begin right after the plane #1251, 1252, etc. looks like a great patriotic plane for sure (USA)

Bad Cap tendencies are a myth. A well designed Cap will do anything any other design will do, without any or the supposed cap snappiness you hear so much about. I have one of the H9 Alitalia 80" Caps with a Moki 210 in it, and it is the most predicatable, best flying plane I've ever had. The most stable harriers you've ever seen, beautiful snaps and spins, and it tracks through the sky like nothing else. THere's a little bit of coupling in knife edge, but no more than any other design. Plus, it doesn't look like every other plane out there. I can't be the only one who is sick of seeing so many Extras and Yaks.
It flies better than my QQ 85" Yak did, my GP 50cc Ultimate, and pretty damn close to my 100cc Edge. My only complaint with it is that it has a glow engine in it. I'll be buying one of these new Caps, I can guarantee it, probably put a ZDZ Super 80 or a DA 85 in it. |

Very true. I am always amazed at the comments that I get when I bring my 40% Carden Cap 232 out to the field. I always get the guys that think they need to tell me all the bad things about the plane. They have no idea what they are talking about. The plane is an absolute dream to fly. All the snap rumors are false.

I have the H9 33% Cap with a BME 110. It’s an absolute blast to fly. Its rock solid in anything high alpha; nothing harriers like a Cap! Knife edge coupling is very minimal. I mixed in ~5% rudder to elevator and it will knife edge from horizon to horizon like it’s on a string. The Cap misconceptions are amusing, to say the least. One of my favorite things to do is slam a wall and keep the elevator pegged so the tail keeps swinging under and transition into an inverted harrier. Where’s your ‘Cap snap’ now?
Inverted walls to upright harrier are equally impressive. It easily outflys my H9 33% Edge in all realms. The only thing that flys better than my H9 Cap is my 40% Carden Cap.There is an awesome H9 Cap video on putfile.com. I think this is the link but I can't verify as putfile is blocked at work. http://media.putfile.com/3D-RC-flyin...-Scale-CAP-232 |

I'm glad it's not just me then. Mine is the only plane that I can do a Big Snap
with reliably. Come along at about half throttle with good forward speed in level flight, go into a hard positive snap and keep the elevator while simultaneously going to just above idel and neutralizing the rudder and aileron, and the plane basically loses all forward speed and starts putting along in a stable harrier. Whatever started the Cap's bad reputation isn't deserved, they are great flying planes. |
