Default Crate and shipping advice

I plan to attend the MAAC Scale Aerobatic Championships in Toronto Canada next summer. It's a 3,600KM drive from Edmonton so I plan to fly (lots of air points to use up from work anyway.) I am looking for any advice on crating and shipping my 35% PANZL.

I have a friend in the shipping business who owns a crating company so he can build the crate for me and I have asked him for advice also. I'm just wondering what to look out for specific to airplanes, tips, tricks, how to place stuff inside the crate, sizing and any suggestions on shipping companies.

Right now I plan to use Air Canada Cargo and have it shipped airport-to-airport. It seems the safest option to me and the cost is not too outragious (not cheap either but the crate will be huge and heavy I'm guessing 200lbs maybe?)
