Hi All,

I have just bought the Thunder Tiger 30 % Yak 54.

Can anyone advise on the full onboard servo and power setup?

Running Futaba 10C Txand 12 channel Rx.

Wanna run minimum 6.6V power system. Digital servo's, but what make an size? I believe Hyperion very reasonable Digital and Programmable.

Thinking of using 2No. A123 3000 mAh as onboard power pack, for redundancy. Is this overkill?? How would it work? Regulator and Balancer?? What about on/off switch?? when servo overloading, I don't want it to burn out and I've heard it can happen.

Single servo's to wing ailerons.

I would like setup to enable all aerobatic moves and tricks.

Engine will be DLE 55?

Should tank be 32 once?

What battery for ignition? Would A123 2100mAh be OK??

If I wanted to do smoke system. What do i do for power?

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips.

BM

I was curious on how to get more range out of my DX-7. I think that right now I can go one mile. I want to be able to go at least five miles. Dose anyone know how to expand the tx signal?

I had just built a new EDGE 540T from CMP airplanes with a DA50 and put 5 5min, flights on it. all was fine then i started to see the 3D abilitys.About 3mins into the 6th flight i started simple in and out snap rolls. The 7th snap is when the wing broke off about 2 1/2in, from the fuselage. We know what happen next. I found there was almost no glue on the ribs in the wing. But lesson learned.

I posted my question under another forum but I figured I should post it under my own blog. So here it is:
I bought my spe 43 new last year and had it started once after 30 minutes of flipping. AFter the first start, I shut it down to see if it will start up again. Well, it didn't and i just gave up and bought a DA50. But now I need this engine (DA 50 is way too big for this 72" plane) and would like to figure it out. I have a feeling its the ignition because the one time I had it started, I was able to tweak the carb and it ran good for 5 minutes or so. Anyrate, I am getting a weak spark on the plug (compared to my DA 50) so I'm assuming thats not helping. Any recommendations? I'm willing to buy a new module if anyone can give me info on where to buy. Also, who could i send the motor off to for troubleshooting if the ignition module don't fix the problem? THanks in advance for any help!
Mike

Been working hard today in getting a new logo for the company.
John is still at work, on the Naval base, and I am slaving here at the house.
