I have a DL-50 that I am very happy with, I thought that I read some where that you can advance the timing and it will help to eliminate the stubble that is in the mid-range of the power band, If this is true, what way do we move the pick up sensor (clockwise or contour clockwise ) and how much?

Well, I got a new plane!
It is a 30% Extra 300 Mid-wing 50cc by EG Aircraft
This scheme is exclusively sold by Ohio Model Planes

click here to see more photos in my gallery

This plane is sweet, it is an Advanced ARF, it comes with canopy already mounted, ailerons and elevators are pre-hinged, Carbon Fiber wing tube, CF spinner, CF tail wheel and CF landing gear, pull-pull rudder system, control arms and servo arms, titanium pushrods, wood engine templates, practically everything but the engine, propeller and radio gear.

This is a quick and easy build plane.

My plane came out to be
16lbs and 6oz with the following: DA-50, Xoar 22x8 Propeller, (2)S9156, (2)JR8611a, S9152 rudder servo, SWB servo arms, Tru-Turn spinner
, (2) 2300Mah A123s, JTec Pitts muffler and a Smart-Fly Power Expander Pro

So far I done six flights and I love it!

I love this color scheme, not too busy and bright! But I chose to do my own vinyl graphics.

Just a few notes, the rudder servo tray is cutout for standard size servo and I cut it open more for the S9152 only because I happen to have that servo, and also the pictures shows a Aluminum spinner but comes with a nice carbon fiber one which I will put on later.

Hi all.
Anyone who knows me is already aware that my wife and I left Florida and returned home to the UK in late 2009 after selling the Store (Ace Hobbies Venice) to Bob Shapiro of Comp-Arf fame.
Since then I have found it difficult to get motivated enough to finish the 3 meter yak 55 I brought with us. Never mind seek out a club to fly at.

So I am starting this blog in an attempt to fire the enthusiasm and passion I had for this hobby when I live in Florida.

It’s so much different in the UK I haven’t put my finger on it yet but the weather is of course one factor, I have been spoiled with outstanding weather and blacktop runways for the first few years on my hobby and now we are coming into the summer I will attempt to find a flying site suitable.
I have found a Hobby shop that carries most of the things I need in a place called Frodsham (Steve Webb Models) where my wife purchased the Parkzone Micro Sukio for me for Christmas in an attempt to get me back into it I think.

Anyway next on the list of things I need to get hyped about is finishing the 3 meter yak so I’m off to get on with it start tidying the wiring up I think and redo the connections for the elevators with multiplex connectors.

Spent some time today doing something that I've wanted to do for a while.... tear a plane apart, and not have to put it back together... lol

The subject was a U-3B(Cessna 310). One of the few that was used by the Air Force as a "chase plane" for the U-2 spyplanes. This particular aircraft was donated to a flying club 15 years ago, and was the only one that was not scrapped, until today. Unfortunately, there is no desire for the aircraft anymore, and this one is being salvaged as well. It's really a shame, as the plane could have been restored fairly easily... In fact, the gas in the tanks still appeared to be good...

Hi!!!, I'm new to this website , so please bear with me. I just purchased a Bud Nosen P-51 Mustang. I purchased from a widower who is selling all her deceased husbands models. This model was purchased on05/30/1989 from A&A Industries at Sibley IA.. When I opened the box, I found the canopy cracked and permanently dented. My question is: Where can I purchase another canopy for this aircraft. I hope someone can help me. Thanks. Frank
