Outrunner on stand offs.

Lost Motor Mount Technique using a inrunner style cage the legs where dremeled off to hold nose ring mount in place to epoxy to fuse.
Once secured the rest of the cage was discarded leaving only the ring mount portion.

Hi all I'm new hear but I've just built the new seagull 2.2 meter spitfire and the cg says 122mm but I can assure you that's miles out it was like a lawn dart, running a dle 55ra and I have/had the motor stopping after 3 or so minutes with the cowl on? Any ideas appreciate the input

Hello, I am new here,

I am planning on buying a Sr. Telemaster kit from Carolina Custom. I already bought a used Super Tigre G60 Blue Head (Perry). The engine hasn't been tried yet.

From what I have read, it will fly ok on a .60, but most people like to have more power, and go with bigger. I can see going to gas; wiping that snot off of the planes nose probably gets old.

I joined a nice aero club, and will lean on them for flight training and building tips.

I used to fly small planes (real) when I was a teen. Achieved solo.

As far as model experience, when I was a teen, I flew u-control and built several kits, mostly Guillows. This Telemaster kit looks decent to me, as far as supplies and information. It has split wings, aluminum spar, full sized plans, you name it. It is a taildragger.

I plan to build it with flaps. Some people recommend going with flaps that are reduced in chord, I will not do that at this time.

The radio will probably be a Spektrum DX8e.

1. I am shocked at the poor availability of balsa kits.

2. I am amazed by the nice blog spots and online videos of builds.

3. I am wondering if anyone would care to comment on my plans, perhaps even help when things aren't clear.
