I started flying a Cox PT-19 control line when I was 10. My uncle had a half completed Fairchild balsa kit I finished but never flew, the .049 OK Cub he gave me was too small to fly it. Ended up giving it away. Always wanted to fly RC so I bought a cheep Walkera heli on Ebay 6 years ago. Never got it to fly. Then tried a Xieda 9958, then an MCPx. They are fun and inexpensive to crash. I read a thread about a cheap transmitter that could be flashed and made totally programmable and with an additional module it could bind to just about anything. Sounded good so after I had that I tried a Parkzone T-28 Trojan that the LHS recommended as a first airplane, I loved that so now I am up to 5 planes including 2 HobbyKing 63" Pitts 12 electric foamies, one black yellow and white, the other red and white, a Goldwing Pitts 12 30cc with a DLE 35RA that I am about to build, and a 30" Ultimate. We just formed a flying club, and built a runway in a donated abandoned sand pit. Our link is www.crafs.ca. I would say I'm hooked on RC.
