How many of us looking for Soloshot3 ?
The reply from the company indicates that they experiencing mass inquiries from RC community.
New model is coming to the market in September-October time frame based on reply.
Based on the spec the vertical speed capability improved quite significantly.
Well, let's see first reviews soon.

I would like one....but will wait and see before I try one.

You might want to make a posting in this thread, and revive it. Tom did extensive testing with one of the previous models and found it lacking in its tracking ability. While I believe he concluded the unit had promise, it needed refining. Hopefully the newest generation has addressed the shortcomings.

If Soloshot3 spec is true and vertical capability improved by ~2.5 times then I am in line for new version and ready to share my experience.
However it will be available in October time frame based on Soloshot e-mail reply.

Thanks for reaching back out, and for your feedback.

We do have a couple of items lined up for vertical tracking - mostly drone and kitesurfing. I'm not sure where those activities are on the content calendar that the team has, but they are queued up for this month.

I see that your use case is mostly RC-related. I have shared this with the team as well to see if we can feet RC in the calendar.

Kites and drones are mostly hovering with not much fast vertical movement although for experienced eye it can give some information about Soloshot-3 capabilities.
I asked them again to try Soloshot-3 with simple electric RC plane.
What we see currently on YouTube with Soloshot-3 ... the objects are moving mostly horizontaly and far away from camera. Although in such video-clips the object is well centred in the frame ... it is not impressing me much as these clips are very easy tasks for Soloshot-3.

Well, let's wait until first owners can share videos from Soloshot-3, which starts shipping these days.

While I am on the current shipping time frame (has and most likely will change AGAIN!!), I am also have been in contact with the SoloShot R&D team. I am working through the NDA and approvals to do testing with large scale gass planes. As I learn more I will keep you updated...
