It'd be pretty bad to go back to the old days where you couldn't even mention some people, or like RCU editing out any mention of FG.

Watching what's happened to RCU might be a very good learning experience for this site's owners and mods.....

Many threads had posts lost in the server swap. I love a good conspiracy theory too, but I don't think there was anything fishy going on here.

Seriously though, I find that the deleted threads were way too selective in which ones disappeared. RCGroups had some issues as well but it didn't involve disappearing threads. Since they're probably the same servers, I'm not really buying the server issues for deleted thread posts.

I can also attest to the fact that a PM I sent to someone during the swtichover, totally unrelated to anything possibly controversial, was not received.

FWIW:
I wrote the front page article, forwarded it to Jim T. Graham for his approval and he posted it. The e-mail I got back from Jim said mind your manners, be nice and there'd be no problems. Let's keep it nice and we can keep on keeping on. I really do miss all the old guard FG guys and now they have a chance to come back and mingle. I really do hope we have a real reunion at Nall or one of the other venues around the country. I'm tellin' ya...... This site is way better than social media will ever be. I do enjoy hearing what all my fellow Giants have to say without all the "Like" or "Dislike" stuff you have to endure elsewhere. Keep the posts coming..... Somebody get Max on here. That would be the ultimate in fun people coming back for a reunion!

PS: No scissors involved with missing posts...... There really has been some severe glitches in the FG system
lately. They'll get it back to normal. Heck, even some of my posts are floating somewhere in the cyber toilet!

I actually never left I have been reading along on some threads here for years! For whatever reason I never feel the urge to get involved in conversations. Between work and life I can’t seem to find much time for the hobby but still tinker on a 40% Carden I purchased a while back ARC. It’s almost done and I hope to fly it in the spring...maybe this winter if I get my act together!

Something is really goofed up with the server lately.. My classifieds post appeared again this morning, I added a photo of the airplane, and now it's gone again.

Who remembers DOWN ON THE DECK vids? Some of the greatest members joined around 06- 08 Lot of good people after that , but 06 members were/are the guys that cracked me up. How about all the plane companies that are gone to beyond. SD Models, Aroeworks, TT Thunder Tiger, Post some more. I love all yall like true family.
Certain Moral character are the RC community. I remember leaving my wallet on the fliteline a Joe Nall with thousands of dollars, while going to town to eat and returning with it sitting right there in the wide open next to my transmitter. Honest crowd.
