I've been flying my 30cc Ultra Stick powered by the DLE-35 engine for almost a year, and love the plane and engine. However, the current 18X10 prop gets busted on every not-so-perfect landing. I know the best fix is to be a better pilot, but at 77 years of age, that's not too likely. I've added bigger wheels (4.5"), and would like to try a smaller 3-bladed prop. Can anyone recommend a 3 bladed prop by size and source for my DLE-35RA engine?

An easy fix is to insert a block between the gear and the fuse.

You can gain an inch or more of clearance just by rebending the gear a bit. Easy to do and costs nothing but a bit of time.

For what you can read online 16x10 three blade prop, i believe master airscrew makes em

I did this too. Works great. I run a 19x8 prop.

OK, I have a story. Some years ago a friend of mine (good close friend) had a plane that was always stubbing the prop in the ground on landings. I finally got fed up watching that, went over to his plane, up ended it, put my knee firmly between the LG legs and pulled down on each leg. Crude at best, but problem solved. To this day, when my friends see me looking at their LG, they get nervous.

Of course the correct way would be a vice with some wood blocks, the gear off the plane and reform the gear over a decent radius. But sometimes a guy just has to take matters into hand to end the whining.

No worry, only works for aluminum and works best on wimpy Chinese gear.

I do not recommend the master airscrew 16x10 it is too small for that engine
It will overspeed the prop
I had two of them on dle30,s lost one prop blade on one and decided it was due to two factors
The first one is the four bolt hub weakened the prop hub
and taching the remaining one found that it was revving too high
If I remember the MAProp has a max rpm of 8000

I see, although some guys on that thread I posted said it was ok.
Another alternative is a Xoar 17-8, they measured 7300-7400 on the dle35ra on ground.
