CARF
krill
Flex
Skywing
Seagull
Horizon Hangar9 and Topflite

For kits add
JTEC
Carden (new owners)
Fibertech
AMR
BalsaUSA
Sig
EMHW
Lots of scale companies like Meister, Proctor, Toni Clark, Mick Reeves, etc
And a bunch of companies that make Jets (I’m not really familiar with jets)

And so on. The hobby has shrunk a bit from where it was 20 years ago but they are still out there.

Definitely slim pickins these days. Jumping back in the hobby after a 5 year break and it’s very sad to see so many companies gone. All I see on planes I’d buy is “out of stock” everywhere. I’m sure today’s shipping prices aren’t helping either. Yikes!

BS! The hobby has been declining since the drones came about and kids don't want to take the time to learn how to fly. They just want to play their games and not socialize with anyone.

Shipping and warehousing stock has become a major cost factor for most retailers. Since the demand for model stuff is really cyclical, you have to try and fill a container so the shipping is the best price possible per model, and there's no real warehousing since the stuff will go out fairly quickly.

It takes quite a few models to fill one of those sea going containers and that's the only way they can afford it is if the container is full.

So if you want something these days, you usually have to backorder it unless you stumble across a vendor who's recently received a container and what you want is available and not already sold.

Not sure if Trump's tariffs affected our hobby or not, maybe radios/electronics but previously model airplanes were exempt from any import tariffs.

Guess you are not really paying attention, as all the tariffs have done is make things worse. A result early EVERY economist had warned about in advance if the president was only willing to listen to anybody but his circle of yes men. Does pressure need to be put on China? Yes, but the way this president has gone about it has been a complete mess..

The tariff costs are simply being passed right on to the consumer (you and I), and China’s retaliatory tarrifs are putting many US farmers out of business.

Uhhhh...and your point is?

Goods are artificially inexpensive from China. If Americans want to bring the Manufacturing back home, we will have to pay more for goods.

Cheaper does NOT equal better.

Wake up!
