That's the tip o' the iceberg. I've been finding firearms tucked away around the house since my dad passed nearly a year ago. Up to about forty of all shapes, sizes and applications. Also, enough ammo and peanut butter to last a coulpa weeks!

Not exactly the most practical gun.

Fun to shoot, though.. I rented a .44mag version at the range just for gits and shiggles. I was surprised at the light recoil; that gas system works well.

I normally carry a 96D. I like the smooth hammer on it.

I used to have a Para-Ordinance .45 and a concealed permit and carried it everywhere I went and kept it under my pillow at night. One night @ 2-3 am the alarm went off in the house, (scared ****less needless to say) scooted down the wall in my bedroom, popped around the corner at the same time "The PERP" entered my house through the garage door, only "The PERP" was my 6yr.old son SLEEPWALKING......Guys, drawing down on your own child is something I dont wish on anyone, Thank GOD I had enough sense not to shoot, needless to say the guns where out of the house b4 work the next morning, sold them to a buddy and havent looked back since. I cant even hold a friends gun in my hand with out getting nervous now. 8 yrs. later and I still get jittery thinking about it. Dont know if I will ever own another gun again, at least until the kids are grown, then maybe.

Correct. That rifle is either a Barret M107 (new version) or M82A1 in .50BMG or if its the M107, you can get it in .416 Barrett as well.

Scary story. Along with firearms comes an amazing amount of responsibility and need for judgement. You obviously have a very "cool" mind when it comes to stressful situations and have the ability to make sound judgement. I myself, dont have any kids, but when friends or family come over with their kids, everything is locked tight away where no one can get at it, even my carry guns. I have always been concerned about pass-through (rounds going through walls into the next room), and have a slug barrelled 12gauge for home defense. First round loaded is a bean bag round followed by light bird shot to prevent pass-through. If the bean bag doesnt stop them on the first shot, the second round with #7 shot at close range definitely will, and I dont have to worry about it making it through two layers of sheet rock and into the next room causing harm to any "invited" guests staying in the next room.
