ZDZ 150R3 Inline Engine

Very happy to see this one....
Perhaps in a liquid cooling option though?
Only issue, is finding a big enough plane to use it in...

Hello JKoch,

i see your tread and specially your avatar - just this question:
why and how do you use my engine in your avatar?

oh - another question: where do you come from?

Of course - i have no issue that you use a pic of my engine in your avitar.... thats ok.
Here is this watercooled engine under "action" - (with a 30 x 28 - 4 Blade)

and the single cylinder with gear comes to the first test run this weekend. The target is to turn a 31" x 27" three blade "Spitfire - scale" Prop.

LOL....
The lanquage barrier can be difficult for sure...
I had followed your posting over on RCUNIverse...
For the COMP-ARF mustang.
Good to hear from you..

Have you thought about a 4 stroke inline twin with liquid cooling?
I realize that would have to go beyond that of just milling the bottom end, and using cyl's and pistons from a well know company...as I don't know any 4-stroke companies that are liquid cooled and for rc engine use..

I'm working at the moment at my P51 spinner... the Prop is already tested at my mock up plane (3m, 22 kg).... works very very well!

i made the "positive model" of the prop - blade. Once taken from original P51, (drawed on a wallpaper for the shape), then the mathmatics of the twist and profile with excel, taken the calculations in a 3D Cad - and just milling . . its a snap hmm... it takes two years. And beside i designed and tested my RR258 inline engine with the gear and make now the whole system become real.

The blades - these are special things of carbon - aramide - are manufactured by as-scaleparts.de

the gears to dirve such props are from me. Also the inline engine.... in front there is a Me 109 quarterscale-blade drivn by a 80ccm singel cyl. BFM

The whole setup looks insane and I'm sure the pictures dont do it any justice.
Back to the thread, I guess no one is using the ZDZ 150 though?
