I recently won a DA 35 engine at the Clover Creek event (I still CAN'T believe it!). I have a low time AW Extra 260 30cc Freestyle with a DLE 35RA for power (it's my first gasser). Long story, short, I decided to swap the DLE for the DA and I'll install the DLE on a Bridi 1/3 scale Baby Ace I have had in kit form for a while (winter project). The conversion is going very well, no issues at all. Attached are a few photos of what I have done so far. I'm still waiting on the Jtec Pitts muffler and new cowl. I don't like to hack things up so new cowl it is.

The upper mount holes matched. The lower mount holes did not match so I plugged the firewall holes with a 3/16 wood dowel and sanded flush. I mounted the plywood spacer with the upper stand offs and used the pilot holes in the spacer to drill the lower mount holes through the firewall. I reamed those 2 holes for the screws and that's about it...

Looks good!
