Fuse Cont.

Making sure all is square. Also setting up of vacuum former for some canopies. Were bless to have a 60"x 33" foot print. Making big parts isn't an issue. We have alot of business in the lighting industry so this size machine makes it a snap.

Agreed, seems very impersonal, like we have something to hide.

Other then that I like the build so far.

Still wished there were 60 or 120 size kits available.

Yes. Tight Bond III. On the landing gear plate, support rails and Firewalls a slow curing Epoxy like West Systems or equivalent.

Oh yeah, forgot about John Sharpless and the whole Aerotech/Competition Airframes/etc. saga.

Years ago I remember reading that John Sharpless had a lifetime ban from FG.....

Very interesting build so far. I've been contemplating a few different large kits, and will be commencing to purchase from someone in the near future. This one is enticing so far.

Although I don't care for the fact the guy is being very aloof for someone wanting to potentially sell kits. I'm not one that cares for guessing games... and honestly to me it wouldn't matter if I knew a name or not, as I probably wouldn't know the guy from Adam... although I've heard of many names over the years.

Not sure what the big secret is though. If this kit does ever go into production, I will consider the demeanor of the builder I've noticed in this thread.... although nice and to the point... the aloofness, and not identifying beyond a screen name doesn't sit well with me for some reason. Maybe we'll hear more, maybe we won't. He's been asked directly. It's up to him.

Oh well.... In his first post he did ask for input, for whatever that was worth.. LOL. so there's my 2 cents.

The plane looks fine, as it should, and I would expect any undertaking like we're seeing to look good. It's obvious the guy has experience and knows how to build.

The looks of the wood and laser cutting reminds me of a Dalton build.

Fuse Cont..

Also we have made some templates for drilling holes and cutting out wing and stab holes easier. Trial fitting the foam belly pan.

Made a jig for the fueslage hatch hard points. Using a3/8" fostner bit makes it clean and easy. I laser cut 1/8" lite ply hardpoint doughnuts and CA in place.

Horiz Stab

Going to show the basics of how we made a jig to make things square and level. In the interest on time we have a very good person that will do all the sheeting of the wings and stabs. Will see what pictures I can get as he does them.

I will be CNC ing the new cowl plugs and molds while that is being done. The phenolic has a 1/4" lite ply cap we laser cut and glue with thin CA. We also laser cut phenolic lite ply supports.
