12 or 16 channels is plenty for me - do I buy the mz12 pro or this new mz16?

Just noticed that I can get a free Graupner MP3 player with the mz16. Dumb question why do I want it?

My opinion.. the 12 is more of an entry level radio.Coming from the XG11, the 12 will be a pretty big step down.

Personally I love the MP3 player on my 32 and 24. When your flying by yourself, its nice to have some music playing, and it doesn't interfere with any alerts you receive while flying

The 24 pro is a good radio, Fentonflyer's and Closetguys complaints about the screen visibility in sunlight and stick tension are 100% spot-on, though. If the $250 price difference isn't a deal breaker for you, I'd go with the 16. Just be aware, the 16 currently only comes with 1 (8 ch) receiver, the 24 comes with 2 (6 ch) and 1 (8 ch).

They sure don't make it an easy choice

Dang, I assumed the 16 came with the case, but I don't see it listed

the price got lowered in europe down to 699 don't ask me why....
keep in mind that you have to buy a second battery because it's half the size of the 32' battery pack

The first two complaints are legit (to a point) but, "limited memory size" ?
The 24 pro holds 30 models internally or unlimited using a micro sd card. That's pretty standard.

For the price point and what's included, the MZ 24 pro is a really good deal, even with the complaints on the screen, speaker and gimbal tension.

Hairbo, I've always been curious, you seem to troll all the companies radio systems, care to share what we all should be buying?

Please don't say FrSky, I will literally fall down laughing

The battery on my 32 has never fell below 90% from a full charge during a day of normal flight. Even with the lower mah, being able to charge over micro usb should nullify any concerns there

Haribo actually PM'd me a link to this thread hoping that I might "defend" Eric's FrSky comment, I suppose.

We're obviously all entitled to our opinions based on experiences, as well as our preferences based on what works for us.

However, I'd never offer an opinion on Graupner or Jeti as I've yet had no experience with either. Graupner might be awesome. I don't know.

So far I like the 24Pro,it had to be easy to program and it is,one of the easiest to do so.Very smooth sticks even with the medium tension springs Graupner offers now.All it will have to do now is hold up and be trouble free.

We're obviously all entitled to our opinions based on experiences, as well as our preferences based on what works for us.

I've owned Hitec, JR, Futaba, Multiplex, Airtronics and Spektrum as well as FrSky (Taranis and Horus). Prices ranged from $189 to $2399. There were certain aspects of each of them I liked. Today, I mostly fly my FrSky Horus but occasionally fly my Airtronics SD10G, Taranis, or Spektrum DX7G2 for my grandson's trainer.

However, I'd never offer an opinion on Graupner or Jeti as I've yet had no experience with either. Graupner might be awesome. I don't know.

Well put, I agree. Haribo trolled me too, kind of annoying and my first thought was to just ignore. My experience is eerily similar, except I moved on from Airtronics in the 90's. I have no opinion either, fly what makes you happy.

Yes because you are the Frsky fanboy of the forum and we all know it.
you come up with your personal histories of that brand that nobody cares even though it has nothing to do with a thread discussion
why don't you point out that other forum user who thinks your Frsky is junk ????
