Great looking bird and some amazing flying. So are you going to be sticking with the new Extra or the slick for your competitions? Also any word when this new bird will be available?

Is that really like a hunter safety orange, or it just the color of the picture?

It is Ultracote Orange. Part number HANU877

This shows the color pretty accurately I think. I wouldn’t call it hunter orange.

Yeah, that's not so bad at all. Not my favorite color but it does show well in the air.

-We are using 1.5” with the link in the 1.25” hole on the ailerons
-2” with the elevators
-2” with the link in the 1.75” hole on the rudder.
**NOTE: This is a prototype, the location of the rudder servo will most likely be in a slightly different location which could indicate a different size rudder servo arm may be needed.

Also curious about this. I've played with both 27 and 29, honestly the difference isn't much. Maybe 28 is the way to go?? Split the diff and call it good.

I've run the following on my GP-123 on cannisters. Plane: Hangar 9 Extra 300 V1 at 28.5 lbs.

28x11 is best over all for combination imac/3D, IMOP. Constant and not loud with full throttle rolling circles. Great breaking, pulls hard. A bit slower out of a hover but it will climb unlimited.

27x11 is excellent for absolute 3D performance. Not overly loud on my set up. I really like it for everything but slow harrier rolls. Accelerates out of a hover very well. Still running it.

29x9 is better for lower and slower, yet spools up well for maneuver exits. Tends to be a bit louder if you push the throttle hard. Great hover acceleration.

28x10 is very good all around, it can get loud depending on the prop. selection. Tested with a Xoar.

All the other props are Falcon CF.

My overview.

Bill

As far as I know, the plan is sometime this Spring. The Slick and Extra V2 basically have the same construction techniques with a few exceptions here and there that accommodate the differences in aerodynamic design. With flying, the Extra is a bit lighter. The Slick I would say rolls faster, but not by a ton.
