The Laser has a new tail wheel

With the rudder attachment point so close to the wheel swivel point and the wheel swivel point not under the rudder hinge, a slight movement of the rudder will deflect the wheel substantially more. It may over steer the plane. FWIW!

Cowl cutting question
Hi guys,
Question on cutting the cowl. I'm using a DA-70 with the compact mufflers on my laser. I've cut 2 holes for the mufflers in the cowl but am not sure if I need to cut an additional intake for the carb. The instruction manual doesn't show a carb intake slot being cut. Are you guys cutting the cowl under the carb or are the front intakes with baffles enough to get air to the carb? Thanks! |
