Hobby King has the servos on sale today, not sure why. Just picked up 5 BLS-31A for $64.00 each. That's $20 off normal price. Act fast I've seen low pricing deals before and the next day prices return to normal. The lowest I seen the 31A before was $70.

I ordered a set of the 620dmg's at the sale price. I was looking at the BLs-3114 and 31As, but didn't pull the trigger. Heck of a deal.

At $14 dollars that is an incredible price for a great servo. I hope they treat you as well as they have me.

For the record, I have made several orders between 9pm and 11pm CST and chose the DHL shipping option and have gotten my servos in 2 days from Hong Kong. I ordered stuff fron the inside the U.S. and it took longer to process than it did to ship...

Oops, the default shipping method said 7-14 days. I'm not in a rush, though. It's raining right now and doesn't look like its going to stop for awhile.

I guess 3114 is same as 2209 only different gears ratio. Slower so more torque.

Attached is the response I received from the factory regarding the BLS 26A and BLS 31A.
"
Dear Tony,

Don’t mention it.

They have same internally but different gear ratio.

Have a nice day J

Best regards

Amy Wang"

I had the same question and the math doesn't work for me. The BLS 26A seems to have better performance so I dropped the factory a line. Replied overnight.

The sale still on however the process are creeping up, the 31A is $68 today.

Again I guess 26A and 2209 are the same. Even same gears. But 26A has full aluminum case, so heavier. Same for 31A and 3114.

I assumed the same thing, just different cases. At 3 grams difference, I figure the weight penalty is worth strength on the top case and better dissipation. The aluminum case servos are supplied with more robust mounting hardware, machine screws, locknuts, countersunk washers while the 2209 has the typical wood screws. I assume the aluminum case are used in robot applications as well? For 7 servos it a total 3/4 ounce penalty. I liked the blue case as well! I got notification they had already shipped.

Right. But specs are not accurate! I have 28A and its like 79 grams. However 2110 (or 2209) is 67 grams. You can tell the difference when holding in your hand. When 2 of them go into the stabs, its like putting near 1 oz weight on tail.

Glad I saw your post about using DHL when checking out at HK International. Took 2 business days for me to get my servos from Hong Kong as well, and was only a couple bucks higher than the option I normally use.

Blue Bird Servos are totally amazing. I use 28A's and 35A's, as well as 2514's and 1412's.

Lots of power, super smooth. This chart from the Blue Bird site is interesting. Shows the family of servos.
