IC.. Meaning internal combustion? Maybe getting ignition noise? Ill look into thanks

Yes but for vibration. Gyros that are ic compatible usually incorperate low pass filters to deal with the vibration from engines. Particularly at low throttle settings. Without some sort of filtering the vibrations can make the gyro act sporadically.

Scuse my ignorance but what is the purpose of this. Can or will it make you a better IMAC pilot or is it for 3D. How will it work, Seems that there is New technology here but what is its purpose in flight. In simple terms please splain its purpose

Flight stabilizers aren't allowed in competition so it wouldn't make you a better IMAC pilot.

Basically it helps simplify dealing with corrections for wind, etc and generally make flying more enjoyable in adverse conditions. It will also help tame bad tendencies such as wing rocking during harriers, snapping out of super tight extreme 3D moves, etc. For learning things like hovering and torque rolls, it won't do them for you but it will slow things down a bit so that if you have the basic orientations down but your reflexes are a bit slow you can safely practice such maneuvers until the corrections become second nature, etc. Basically, it's not for any sort of competition but it can make sport flying on windy days or learning new maneuvers more enjoyable.

In real basic terms it a properly set up stabilizer will make a smaller plane feel and react like a larger one. As mentioned above it just sort of slows things down a bit.

I would also add that the units in question will "mix" out bad characteristics the same way any IMAC guy does with mixing in his radio.

Most flight stabilers such as the Aura 8, Cortex, etc actually don't eliminate the need for mixes. If your airplane wants to tuck to the gear in knife edge, it still will, it just won't be so abrupt. You generally still need mixes if you want to eliminate those behaviors rather than simply slow them down. Not sure about the new Spektrum unit but most won't actually make a plane fly a straight line just just fight rapid changes in direction that aren't the result of control inputs..

Ok, I stand corrected I guess. I have the Aura8 on my Mamba and it certainly made the plane fly a lot straighter than it did without it.

I had that impression too when I first installed an Aura in my H9 2.6M Yak 54. It still didn't fly perfectly straight in knife edge but it seemed much better and I was sure it would need much less mix than it did before the Aura was installed. By the time I got it dialed in it ended up with almost exactly the same knife edge mix values as it had before the Aura was installed.

Great info, thanks guys. I've always been curious to fly something GS with gyro control. I'll bet it'll make me a 3D monster just like my buddy P-Huck right? ;-)
Maybe I'll need one of these things in my 37.5, whaddaya think Wayne?

Yes, it has several modes: Auto-AJ, Auto Jase...

My prayers have been answered. It's amazing that someone who's been flying as long as I have still sucks...

I'm ABSOLUTELY certain it will totally make you a 3D monster

I have an Aura 8 stabilizer in my H9 2.6M Yak 54 and it makes a big difference, especially in the wind. From what I've seen the new AS3000 should be pretty inexpensive and will be directly supported in the next version of Airware so it should be super easy to install with no rewiring needed so I don't see any reason not to give it a try...
