I am hopeful my findings will be put to use on the JC 30. The mounting template only shows the placement of the stand-offs and not the center line of the prop shaft. Simply dividing the distances in half, will not give you the exact center line. See here for further details https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...1&postcount=35

If the distances are only divided in half, this will cause the engine to sit about an 1/8 inch too low on the fire wall.

The more I think about it, the more I wish I hadn't sold my 100cc MX2 with a brand new JC120 already mounted up and never run. I just went through a period of being burnt out on planes and flying..I know crazy right, but nevertheless, I just didn't enjoy it anymore.

I did however get time to test out one of FullSpool's A123 packs with the voltage drop down plug to power an ignition.
That pack is perfect for those who want to use an A123 pack but don't want to use a regulator to drop the voltage down to 5v for the rcexl ignitions. Very solid pack and the balance was always perfect.

You could also just use the main power lead to run your DA ignitions which have been certified to run on a 2s A123 pack.

Fullspool, when might you be getting another shipment in of the JC120's.
The wenatchee 3dhs/PAU huckfest is coming up in a few months and I am thinking of doing up another 35%

thanks

It appears they are only selling the jc60 under the MAP price agreement between, Kevin, Milton, and myself. I can send Kevin an email and ask him.

At 7,000' density altitude on a 95 degree day, with an old NX G3 27X10 running 87 octane/ Pennzoil @ 32:1 with bowman rings, and after breaking it in with ONLY 1-1/2 gallons I was getting 5950 rpm on the ground. My engine idles very reliably, and the spool up is as good as, or better then my two DA-100's. There is a distinct improvement in performance over the DA-100 in my experience.

Justin@vital-RC.com has been beyond good to me. His mission is to do everything he can through dialogue with Kevin to make JC engines the new DLE. They have taken my feedback very seriously, and have already made some small changes to the way Kevin makes his engines. I'm confident that with folks like Justin and Milton going to bat for their customers the brand will continue to grow.

I have mine in a 144" World Models Super Cub that weighs over 30#'s, and I've torque rolled it just outside of Denver in a freestyle competition that I got first place in... If that says anything about JC engines!

Flying at a festival RUSJET MASTERS 2012.
There was a big wind 13-14 m / s.
Therefore, the program was a simple flight.
Engine JC-120, 28x9 PROP
