Making Scale Cowl Vents

Looking for tips, methods, etc on making scale cowl vents. I have tried several methods and a number of materials but really not satisfied with the results.

This is for my JTEC Taylorcraft built several years ago. I have attached a photo of the full scale unit and also one of my feeble attempt to replicate it. I used .015 plastic sheet for the perimeter and .015 plastic strips for the vent ribs. Looks OK but I think it can be better.

Hoping someone knows how to accomplish this or at least point me in the right direction. 3D printer perhaps ???

They looks great, Well done for sure

A few ways i would do it,

0.5mm aluminum sheet, Laser cut. Or Laser cut plastic sheet like you did or even thin poplar ply depending on the model.

But i have access to a laser cutter Cnc might be ok too but can be harder to do thinner stuff i feel.
