I know its overkill using the X24 , it is nice to use for the gas engine and LED controls.

KARL....
on all my 50cc or above gassers I use DX 20 ch redundancy
receivers ....

since I have the DX 20 radio I might as well take advantage
of the telemitry as well so for me there is No need for a power
expander... Looking at your fuse I realize yours is missing
covering as well... I would strongly recommend that you
cover that wood... it will get soaked with exhaust remains...
once it does you it will be hard to get any covering or paint
to bond... give it a thought ..... I will be doing it soon...
I have been super busy at work .... and not had much time to work
on my plane since the holidays have kicked in... I am getting another
plane shook down for the Jan 1st Numb Thumbs Freeze Fly I attend
every year... to start off our new flying season.

Karl.. I am excited for you....
I have not worked on the plane with the holidays... in fast swing...
I am however having to work on a few planes and get them
ready for this years Freeze Fly....

I am wondering about the over all weight.... 28 lbs... thats
kinda heavy... can you give me any insight... as to why...
I would have thought it would have been closer to 26 lbs

It could be my cheap Chinese scales, I have heard a few different weights but there isn't much that can be removed. I will try it with a different scale and see if its the same.

Well It has 5 flights on it , and its a lot of fun. Had to reduce the throws from the recommended, a 3% down trim with full throttle , 45 degrees of flaps and it feels comfortable.

Congrats on your successful maiden!

Mine is 27,9 lbs so you are in the ball park..

How is your CG in the air? With the gear down my CG feels great on take off and landing. But when the gear go up, it is very neutral.

I can fly hands off inverts for a good distance before I need input, 45 upline I roll to inverted and it holds a line.

Here are the Robart retract combo part #'s painted white. You can get them at Tower or Horizon. The website descriptions are very limited and they don't even show them under the accessories page. Received mine yesterday

This aircraft has been out for some time now and I'm wondering about some of the support supplies.

No main wheels listed
No monokote listed

Just finishing up my F6F. Had problems with the Robart Electrics, Robart shipped me a new set of actuators, this time with their name laser etched in the actuators. Seems to work OK, but haven't checked balance or test flown it just yet. DLE 61 for power. Retracts work fine with wing center section inverted for test nice and tight. With wing in normal flying position, retracts hang out 1/4 inch from the wells. Not sure why??
