Saito FG-61TS Cam Timing

Recently had a somewhat harder arrival with the ground than what was anticipated which I believed at the time resulted in the crankshaft being bent slightly, fortunately for me this was not the case however, the front bearing did require replacement (notchy).

In the past I have used a tool that I made to time the Saito four strokes that was fitted into the cam housing after the cam follower was removed to hold the cam positioned correctly. Unfortunately, with the FG-61 the cam followers can only be inserted from beneath the housing thereby not allowing the use of the locating tool. There is probably another way around it but I would like to use the tool if possible.

Is there anyone that has experience with this engine and has had to carry out cam timing that could enlighten me as to the way that the timing is done, I also believe that the FG-57TS maybe the same according to it's manual.

Thanks and Regards
Peter
