OMG Joe, are we reading the same post? where did he say that? I think the truth is there are some nervous chainsaw converters out there, this nervousness might make them and their supporters a little hypersensitive.

Oh c'mon now--don't get your undies all twisted---you dont bad-mouth Scott personally, but you certainly make it known that you don't feel his engines are worth all the hype that people give them.
I will edit my original response to be fair..

I wasn't saying that his engines were all "hype"--but you knew that.

If you want to play semantics then lets see--

Gee I wonder why people may interpret that as a knock on Brillelli ?

Re: How many chainsaw conversions out there?

I just got one myself for a GP Yak. I haven't found a whole lot of info on it. Nice looking engine but I haven't had a chance to run it yet. I am told that it is close in power to the DA 50 and DL 50. I am interested in others' experience with this engine as well.

Joe, there wasn't any semantics, I didn't change words or anything. I just agreed with you about the "hype", Ralph said he never thought too much of his 46 conversion, he stopped making them and then then B started making them. They probably had some success because of exactly what you are talking about "hype" on the internet. And quite frankly Joe, I have to agree with you.

Re: How many chainsaw conversions out there?

i think that the big deal about Brellilli is that his 46 GT (poulan) is such a good fit on the 74" EF yak. it weighs exactly what his website says it does, that includes the ignition and spark plug in the weight. there are no other engines(gas) of that weight or lighter with that much power. i WILL NOT put a glow motor on it os 1.60 or saito 1.80, with my flying habit i'd go through 1 1/2 gallons of nitro a weekend.

Re: How many chainsaw conversions out there?

So would it be a fair assessment to say that the Brillelli engines are really Poulan underneath? I know that Poulan got bought out but I don't know by who. Mine is a 60cc. How many different motors does Brillelli sell?
