I have been thinking about power valves for years, actually it should be quite straight forward but I have never gotten around to it :-)
I havent done alot of tuning with the model yet but due to the large side area i dont need to use much rudder in knife edge so I havent noticed any coupling there. I think there might be a bit of roll in the stall turns when using full rudder but need to do more testing.

Hi Rod!
Interesting that you have been thinking on power valves for a two-stroker. May I ask how you will solve the compression ratio when utilizes such valve. The trapped compression ratio will increase as such valve reduces exhaust port height. That will increase compression ratio from say ~~ 1:7 to 1:10 .

Best wishes

I am back! Have been doing huge hours on the movie 'Avatar'. Thats all over so I am unemployed for the meantime. Have a few projects on now and one is another Miro F3A. This will incorporate a few changes and I will try some new techniques. I will start a new thread as this is getting pretty big.

Hi Harry
I got involved in phisical effects due to my modelling experience. I design and build wind machine propellers. For Avatar I built 2 large 2.2M shrouded propeller electric wind machines which are capable of putting out 70KPH. My professional training is as a classical musician.
