Scott was kind enough (brave enough) to let me fly his prototype the other day. Boy oh boy is this thing smooth! It flies virtually coupling free and is steady as they come. You feel super human watching it slowly roll from point to point in 4 point rolls and being able to give it just the right inputs and just the right time. It's like flying in slow motion. And, of course, with no coupling and hardly any rudder needed for knife edge, there really aren't any correction needed at any point in it's 360 rolls. Great preicsion flying and as floaty as they come for down on the deck 3d. Simply a fantastic and inspiring flyer. I have a feeling it's going to be winning some IMAC contests this year. Here's some shots from my growing collection.

Did you fly it with the GR 85 if so can anyone tell me the Electric specs.

Both use 24" props, so the A80-10 which can spin 26" would be a better choice.

Power is great at 140 amps from a 12S 10,000mah system.

AUW is 25 lbs.

Didn't tach it.

If you're really whipping it hard, flight time is 8-9 minutes.

The power on this setup is really great, more than a DA-100 on cans, and I think using the A80-10 so that you could get the right prop size would make it perfect. With the 24" prop on a 103" plane the roll rate is too slow.

We also plan to try the GR-85 on 10S lipo so that we can use a 27-28" prop. Scott at Reaper Brushless has given us the go -ahead to pull some really crazy amps, shuld be a good setup.

Note that we're now using HobbyCity lipo packs, so the 12S 10,000mah setup costs roughly $300. Since this system only loads the lipos to 14-15C max, you can use the cheap lipos.

Let me know if you need any other info. These 100CC planes aren't popular for electric since the ESC's are $500 each and you have to have a flux capacitor to run all the chargers you need to keep it in the air. 99% of guys are going to stick a DA100 in it so they can gas-no-go.

Got mine going on DA85 on Pitts. This plane's got to be the easiest 3D plane I've flown!

How is it for precision work?

Awesome. It's a long airplane, so tracking is good as well.

GOT MINE!!!! Planning on a DA100L for power. Hope to have it in the air in a few months (lots of other stuff in the way)

Mine will be flying this weekend! Got a new DA100L on stock muffs. I'll try to post some pics of the install this evening.

I only get to photograph other people's new airplanes - hopefully I'll get my own next summer.

If this little test flight goes the way I think it will go, I may have to buy one off of Ben on the spot. The itch to do something with my DA-100 is getting hard to ignore.
