Count me in on that also. We have several DLE35 in my circle of flying friends and all run just fine with few if any problems. Some don't care for the stock muffler.
A couple of EME 35 here also. These also run fine with a bit less vibration and power than the DLE. No DA35 here to compare with. |

The DA 35 has the most power of the 35 cc engines. It also shakes the most at idle it is a paint shaker. The EME is by far the smoothest of the 35 cc class. the only thing I don't like about the EME 35 is the sound. It's kind of high pitch. I put the DLE 30 cc mufler on my EME and the sound is much better and it picked up an adtional 150 to 200 rpm. My EME spins the falcon 20X8 carbon prop to 7200 rpm. The DA will spin the falcon 20X9 prop to 7300 to 7400 rpm on average. So if you need all the power you can get and don't mind the paint shaker the DA is the way to go. If you want the smoothest running and can sacrifice some power the EME is the way to go. My EME s have been ultra reliable. The only dead stick I have ever had with any of my EMEs have been do to a throtle servo failure. (MKS 1250) . I can't say the same for the DAs that I have had. None of my EME s have any mods other then the mufler and spark plugs.

This is the plainly stated, advertised, easily found output of the EME 35cc engine...
3.6 hp @ 7,100 rpm (https://www.milehighrc.com/EME35CC.html) I have yet to find the manufacturer-stated output for the DA 35cc engine. For a bunch of gentlemen, there are a lot of feelings stated here but no real numbers for the DA 35cc engine. |
