PilotUSA... These are not acceptable issues on a $900 air frame.
I looked at a skywing but i cant haul anything bigger than 95" and already have a 3dhs 95extra. I wanted a sporty scale look biplane and the mamba just doesnt do it for me. No else really makes a good looking biplane in this size so i ordered this. Honestly its just frustrating slowing my build. Will probably have to wait till spring for a maiden. But the plane will be better than if i just built it out of the box.

I'm gonna go look at mine in the trailer this weekend, I don't remember having these issues. I know my motor didn't line up using their laser marks.

Mine would have been off if i used their marks too. I used the wife holds the plane up on its end while i center the hub and mark it method. Came out about 1/8" farther from center than the factory marks.

The wrong CG seems to be common occurrence with PilotRC. Their Pitts seems to have been rushed out the door, one size control horns does not fit all.

Lookin good.. i would give it the inverted 45 degree upline test for CG when you do your maiden.. that method has always got me really close and then i fine tune it to my liking.

Cg shows pretty close on the ground but yes the 45 upline is the main test i go by as well. How ever biplanes seem to respond a little different to that test than monoplanes. They always seem to show more nose heavy than they really are for me.
Few more things to do hoping for maiden next week if some good weather is around. Still need to setup the choke linkage and cut out the bottom vent on the cowl. And finish some radio programming.

Looks great Scooby! I really like the look of that airframe.

Do you plan to baffle the engine?

Probably will by spring time right now its 45-65 degrees here so i will see how the temps run. Ive opened all the vents in the cowl and can tunnel so shouldnt get too hot.
